Of the three GHRH analogs in our catalogue, tesamorelin is the odd one out: it is the only one that keeps all 44 residues of the parent hormone, and the only one with an acyl group on the N-terminus. Both facts show up directly on a certificate, which makes tesamorelin one of the easier compounds to verify and one of the easier ones to mislabel. This page covers the molecule, the mass check that separates it from sermorelin and CJC-1295, handling in solution, and ordering within the United States.
What the hexenoyl group does
Tesamorelin is human GHRH(1-44) amide with a trans-3-hexenoyl chain attached to the N-terminal tyrosine. The native sequence is otherwise unchanged. The point of the modification is enzymatic: dipeptidyl peptidase-4 removes the first two residues of unmodified GHRH, and an acylated N-terminus is not processed the same way. Free-peptide monoisotopic mass is close to 5,135 Da, and the vial contents weigh more than that because the material is supplied as an acetate salt with residual water. Tesamorelin as a stabilised GHRH analog covers the chemistry in more depth.
The mass check
Three GHRH analogs appear in research catalogues, and their masses are far enough apart that a single mass spectrum identifies which one is in the vial:
- Tesamorelin, 44 residues, hexenoyl N-terminus: about 5,135 Da.
- Sermorelin, GHRH(1-29) unmodified: about 3,358 Da. We stock it in 5 mg and 10 mg; the sermorelin USA page covers it.
- CJC-1295 without DAC, the 29-residue frame with four substitutions: about 3,368 Da. Stocked as a 5 mg vial; the CJC-1295 and ipamorelin USA page covers it.
A certificate for material labelled tesamorelin that reports an observed mass near 3,360 Da is describing one of the 29-residue analogs, whatever the label says. The three-way comparison sets the sequences side by side, and deconvolution of multiply charged spectra explains why a 5 kDa peptide shows up as a cluster of peaks rather than one line on an electrospray instrument.
What else the certificate should show
A 44-residue synthetic peptide has more room for deletion sequences than a short one, so the chromatogram deserves more attention than it would for a tetrapeptide. Purity should be an HPLC area percentage at a stated wavelength, usually 214 or 220 nm, and our specification is 99%+. Tesamorelin has a tyrosine at position 1 and another at position 10, so a 280 nm trace is also meaningful and a certificate that reports both wavelengths is giving you a cross-check. Net peptide content, where reported, is the figure to use for quantitative work because the acetate counter-ion and bound water are part of the gross vial mass. Net peptide content explained shows the arithmetic, and TFA and acetate salt forms covers why the counter-ion matters.
In solution
The hexenoyl group protects the N-terminus; it does nothing for the methionine at position 27 or the asparagines elsewhere in the chain. Reconstituted tesamorelin should be aliquoted, kept cold and not refrozen repeatedly, and dilute working solutions belong in low-bind tubes because a peptide of this length adsorbs to untreated plastic and glass. Peptide adsorption and low-bind surfaces has the practical detail. Lyophilised, the material is stable at minus 20 °C in a sealed vial.
What we supply
Tesamorelin 10 mg is supplied as a single lyophilised vial at 99%+ purity. When a batch sells through, the product page shows it as out of stock rather than taking back-orders, and the next batch is listed when its certificate is back from the laboratory. Sermorelin and CJC-1295 are held in stock continuously if GHRH reference material is needed in the meantime.
Ordering in the USA
Orders ship domestically within the United States, so there is no import processing and no customs hold. USPS, UPS and FedEx services are offered at checkout, dispatch is within one business day and typical transit is two to five days. Published certificates are on the certificates page, and per-milligram pricing for all three GHRH analogs is on the price list.
Research use only
Tesamorelin from ExoLabz is a laboratory reference material for in vitro and analytical research. It is not a drug and not for human or veterinary use, and we do not provide dosing or administration information. The regulatory status article sets out the position, and the purity guarantee applies to every vial.
Built for labs that check the data
Dispatched usually within 1 business day as a tracked domestic parcel, 1 to 4 business days to most of the lower 48.
Independent labs test purity. Certificates are published on product pages and our certificates page, matched to vials by cap and crimp colour.
If your own third-party test shows a purity failure, the product is refunded and the test cost reimbursed.

Arrived as described. Perfect communication.
Yes everything was great. I appreciated the little plastic bottle holders also
Great product - I have purchased peptides from various different vendors and this seems to be the only one thats pure . Highly recommend
