MT-2 is a cyclic lactam-bridged analogue of alpha-MSH. Analytical note — Melanotan II. Cyclic, and one Da lighter than PT-141 because the C-terminus is an amide rather than a free acid. Any certificate that reports mass to the nearest whole number cannot distinguish the two, which is worth knowing when comparing suppliers.
