About Ipamorelin 5mg
Ipamorelin is a pentapeptide agonist at the growth hormone secretagogue receptor. Its interest as a tool compound comes from selectivity: in the published characterization work it produces a growth hormone secretory response in pituitary preparations without the corticotroph and lactotroph activity seen with several earlier secretagogues, which makes it useful when a study needs to attribute an observation to one receptor rather than several.

Analytical note — Ipamorelin. Three of the five residues are non-standard: alpha-aminoisobutyric acid, D-2-naphthylalanine and D-phenylalanine. Amino-acid analysis after hydrolysis cannot distinguish D from L, so composition analysis alone does not confirm this sequence; identity rests on mass and on the synthesis route.
