Shipping to Virginia

Virginia is fed by two hubs, one serving Richmond and one serving Northern Virginia. The Washington suburbs and the Richmond corridor get their parcels first. Charlottesville and Blacksburg are each reached on their own final leg, and Hampton Roads generally needs an extra half day. Many Northern Virginia research addresses are federal or contractor campuses with controlled receiving, so the gap between a delivery scan and a parcel reaching the bench there is a question of scheduling inside the gate rather than of transit.

Receiving at federal, contractor and university sites in Virginia

The lab door is not where most Virginia research addresses take a parcel. Central receiving takes it, the carrier’s involvement ends there, and an internal round follows that can cost a few hours or a working day. Virginia shows this more plainly than most states do, because so much of its research sits on federal, contractor and university campuses where receiving is controlled and the dock may be a long way indeed from the bench: a box scanned as delivered on Tuesday morning can quite reasonably arrive upstairs late on Wednesday. Most of what tracking leaves unanswered is settled by knowing which dock serves your building and who signs for things there.

Comparison against the enclosed paperwork comes before storage, in every case. Batch numbers are printed on none of our vials, so it is cap and crimp color that the documents identify each one by, and the number of vials in the box that should answer to the number on the order. Storage once it arrives

Shared freezers in Virginia labs are frequently frost-free, and a unit of that type warms itself periodically in order to melt off accumulated ice, which puts every vial inside through exactly the temperature cycling they ought to be avoiding. Who we supply in Virginia

Five places take most of what we send into Virginia. Working out which of those three descriptions fits your own address is the single most useful thing a Virginia buyer can do before committing to a date.

Federal and contractor sites repay one further check in advance. Some will not accept a parcel without a purchase order number, a contract reference or a named on-site contact on the label; the requirements differ from one site to the next; and a box that turns up without them can sit at the gate until somebody inside claims it.

Certificates of analysis

One production lot per report, named on its face: that is the boundary of what any document on our published certificates asserts, and a number of compounds have nothing published against them so far. Against the purity entry you will find an area percentage from RP-HPLC, which answers how much of the peptide material picked up by the detector was the sequence being sought. It answers that and it answers no other question – endotoxin has an assay, sterility has an assay, residual solvents and net peptide content have theirs, and a purity percentage substitutes for none of the four. Regulatory position

From Arlington to Blacksburg the position is a single one. FDA approval: not held by any ExoLabz product.
